Der Nintendo 3DS ist ein Auslauf Produkt und wird künftig von Nintendo nicht mehr mit neuer exklusiver Software bedacht. Weiterhin offen gehalten wird der 3DS für Dritt-Entwickler. Eine Entscheidung die wohl vor allem Indie-Entwickler begrüßen werden.
Die Firma Playdate sieht das als Chance einen eigenen Handheld zu etablieren. Eine Kurbel soll dabei das neue Element sein und fordert euch zum Kurbeln auf wenn ihr euch bewegen möchtet. Ein Tweet samt Video erklärt das Prinzip:
