Amazon hat es getan und seine eigenen Heimkonsole vorgestellt. Gut – alle lagen ein wenig daneben, denn in erster Linie basiert das Ding auf Android und soll kein direkter Konkurrent zu Xbox, Playstation und Nintendo werden. Spiele soll das ding aber dennoch können, auch wenn speziell angepasste. Mit Android als Betriebssystem gibt es immerhin auch genug Möglichkeiten!

Neben der Vorstellung der neuen Amazon Konsole wurde heute aber auch noch bekannt, dass Amazon sein eigenes Gamestudio – Amazon Game Studios – erweitert hat und zwei hochkarätige Entwickler für sich gewinnen konnte. Kim Swift, Designerin des Spiels Portal von Valve, und Clint Hocking, Designer von Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, arbeiten ab sofort für das Studio.
